Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is seeking to appoint a Reception Teaching Assistant to support a child with an Educational Health Care Plan in a happy school based in Walsall.

You should demonstrate initiative and react with integrity and compassion.

Experience working with children with sensory needs and autism, including communication and interaction difficulties, is beneficial but not essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and highly motivated person who:

• Prioritizes the child's needs in all actions
• Has a warm, caring, and nurturing personality
• Works alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to support the child's access to learning
• Delivers targeted interventions linked to the EHCP
• Develops positive relationships with children and parents
• Collaborates with the SEND team, parents, and outside agencies to support learning and progress
• Supports pupils in developing skills in independence, self-confidence, and social interaction, including providing intimate care
• Maintains high expectations of pupils' learning and behavior
