Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Hatfield on an initial 3-month contract. You will support service users throughout their recovery journey as part of a multi-disciplinary team, aiming to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm.

You will carry a caseload, conduct assessments, deliver psychosocial interventions, and promote person-centred recovery plans.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in Recovery Worker or Substance Misuse roles.
• Experience managing a caseload and completing assessments.
• Knowledge of recovery and harm-reduction approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A person-centred, non-judgemental approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from assessment through treatment and recovery.
• Complete screening, assessments and risk assessments.
• Manage a caseload and develop person-centred recovery plans.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions and motivational support.
• Provide harm-reduction advice and support.
• Make appropriate referrals to partner services.
• Advocate for service users and help overcome barriers to support.
• Support social reintegration, resilience and independence.
• Work effectively with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
