Job summary

The Forward Trust is seeking a Recovery Worker in Ashford to join our team on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). You will support adults 18+ with drug/alcohol challenges as part of an integrated healthcare team, delivering person-centred support and helping clients progress along their recovery journeys.

Key duties include caseload management, assessments, care planning, harm reduction, and coordinating access to housing, benefits, employment and healthcare services.

Responsibilities

Salary : £26,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent

We're looking for a Recovery Worker to join our team in Ashford, working full time, 35 hours per week. Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives? In this role, you'll support adults aged 18+ experiencing drug and/or alcohol-related issues, working as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide person-centred support.

What you'll be doing

• Managing your own caseload and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey
• Completing assessments, risk assessments and care plans
• Delivering structured 1:1 interventions and group sessions
• Providing harm reduction advice, guidance and practical support
• Helping clients access housing, benefits, employment, training, healthcare and community services
• Working closely with healthcare professionals, probation and partner agencies
• Reviewing care plans and supporting positive outcomes
• Maintaining accurate records and working towards service targets and KPIs
