Job summary

Turning Point is recruiting a Recovery Worker to join our Bury St Edmunds hub in Suffolk on a fixed-term maternity cover of 10 months. The role involves assessment, coordinating treatment and delivering psycho-social interventions to help service users achieve lasting change.

You will act as a key worker, manage a caseload, and work closely with clinical staff to deliver harm reduction measures and support plans. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience in substance use/mental health, housing or health and social care.
• Ability to work one-to-one and in groups.
• Willingness to participate in training and career development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker managing a caseload and setting treatment goals.
• Maintain regular contact and provide psycho-social interventions.
• Assessments, risk management and collaboration with clinical staff.
• Deliver harm reduction interventions (needle/syringe provision, safer injecting information).
• Communicate effectively with service users and colleagues.
