Job summary

WithYou in Cornwall is recruiting a Recovery Worker for the Penzance area. You will support clients to set goals, develop recovery plans and work within a large integrated drug and alcohol service, collaborating with outreach, hospital, clinical and criminal-justice partners to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a caring, proactive attitude, and a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• ONC/NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve within 12 months
• Experience in health, social care or related setting
• Experience with substance misuse issues
• Driving license with access to a vehicle is essential
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
• Teamworking ability
• Resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise
• Good oral and written communication skills
• IT competence
• Flexible with working hours
• Willing to support other With You locations when needed

Responsibilities

• Help clients determine goals, ambitions and passions and create tailored treatment plans
• Build meaningful relationships with clients to support recovery goals
• Work as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service
• Support out-of-hours coverage and cover other locations when needed
• Collaborate with other services in the integrated drug and alcohol program
