Job summary

Creative Support in Redditch is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Worker to assist people with mental health needs in a newly built supported living service. You will help service users progress on their personal recovery journey and achieve goals relating to wellbeing, independence and tenancies.

The role involves building warm relationships, coordinating with families, social workers, NHS professionals and voluntary agencies, working a 37.5 hour week on a 7-day rota, including evenings

Qualifications

• Mental health awareness and person-centred support required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with service users, families and professionals.
• Relevant qualification (Health & Social Care Diploma or psychology degree) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-focused support to promote independence and tenancy sustainment.
• Assist service users to move into new homes and manage daily living.
• Build supportive relationships and liaise with external agencies.
• Contribute to needs/risk assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
