Job summary

Waythrough is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead Calderdale Recovery Steps, an Adult Drug and Alcohol Service in Halifax. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support while meeting contractual targets and safeguarding requirements.

You’ll coach staff, manage performance, support recruitment, and maintain strong partner relationships. Roll-out of effective service delivery and reporting will be integral to success.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this in post.
• Experience of working towards and achieving individual and team objectives, targets and KPIs.
• The ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop others to strengthen frontline practice and service delivery.
• An understanding of the needs of people accessing support services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to collate information, monitor performance and produce accurate reports.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office programmes.
• A strong commitment to equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.
• Experience of managing staff performance, including formal disciplinary and grievance procedures, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of designated areas of Calderdale Recovery Steps.
• Manage, supervise, coach and develop staff and volunteers, including recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance reviews.
• Monitor individual and service performance against agreed objectives, contractual targets and KPIs.
• Develop effective pathways and build strong working relationships with partner organisations and community services.
• Support the development, monitoring and evaluation of the service, ensuring relevant models and procedures are embedded effectively.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and other risks are managed appropriately and in line with organisational procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Hold a small caseload where required to support service delivery.
• Deputise for the Service Manager when required and provide management cover across the service.
