Job summary

Waythrough is seeking an Assessment and Fast Track Recovery Navigator to join the Barnsley Recovery Steps team. You will support clients from first contact through recovery, completing assessments, identifying needs, and guiding access to treatment and wider support.

The role combines direct client work with admin duties including calls, reminders and updating case records. You will manage a caseload, deliver structured sessions, provide emotional support, and work with external agencies to

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering assessments and developing care plans.
• Ability to identify needs and coordinate access to services.
• Strong communication and support skills with vulnerable groups.
• Proficiency with electronic case records and appointment reminders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments.
• Manage a caseload and deliver one-to-one interventions.
• Provide emotional support, signposting and referrals.
• Make pre-assessment calls and follow up with clients.
• Maintain accurate case notes and liaise with external agencies.
