Job summary

Emerging Futures CIC is seeking a Housing Support Worker to assist residents in supported housing projects, focusing on recovery and independent living.

You will coordinate referrals, move-in plans, assessments and case notes, and work with partner agencies to provide interventions supporting recovery and independent living. You will help residents access mutual aid and participate in community activities, with flexibility across sites and some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; training provided to all Housing Support Workers.
• Passion for working with people affected by addiction is crucial.
• Experience or willingness to work with people with complex needs including challenging behaviour is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily running of the supported housing project and coordinate all aspects of residents' care.
• Handle referrals, move-in plans, assessments and case notes.
• Work with colleagues and partner agencies to provide interventions supporting recovery and independent living.
• Help residents access mutual aid and participate in community activities as part of recovery.
• Be flexible to work from different sites and on some evenings and weekends.
