Emerging Futures CIC is looking for a Housing Support Worker to assist individuals with a history of drug and alcohol issues in supported housing projects. This role focuses on promoting recovery and facilitating independent living.
Working closely with teams and partner agencies, you will deliver interventions that enhance residents' well-being. While the position is entry-level, a passion for supporting those affected by addiction is essential. Training will be provided.
Emerging Futures began in 2014 from a belief that recovery is possible for everyone and that those who have walked that path should lead the way forward. The organisation has grown across the UK, providing support to people affected by homelessness and drug and alcohol use through housing, coaching and therapeutic programmes.
As a Housing Support Worker you will support people with a history of drug and/or alcohol issues who are abstinent and living in supported housing projects. You will work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver interventions that support recovery and help residents achieve independent living in the community. The role also involves collaborating with teams that provide psychological therapies to improve residents' wellbeing and ensuring residents are safe, engaged, and participate in positive activities that support their recovery.
The role is entry‑level and offers training, so previous direct experience is not essential. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for working with people affected by addiction and may also have experience with individuals who have complex needs, challenging behaviour, substance misuse and/or criminal offending backgrounds.
