We have an exciting opportunity for a RecoveryCoordinator to join our Non-Opiate team who have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
Location: Wirral
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
With this role you’ll be working as part of the Non-Opiate Team in Wirral.
About the Role:
- Provide bespoke psychosocial interventions for identified service users, with the aim of engaging people in the most appropriate treatment for their needs, delivering a whole person health-based approach and bringing about positive client outcomes.
- Work within an integrated non-opiate team, and contribute to best practice and a ‘what works’ evidence based approach to deliver a bespoke non-opiate treatment offer addressing substance misuse, physical health, mental health, housing , employment and the overall wellbeing of individuals accessing treatment.
- Deliver 1:1 PSI interventions and be available to co-facilitate group interventions and deliver trauma informed care approaches.
- Work in close partnership with social services, secondary mental health, probation and Housing providers to take a flexible and agile approach including an awareness of place to enable individuals to reduce harm, cease drug use and support on-going recovery.
- Work within an integrated treatment model and liaise with the group programme, behavioural change team, harm reduction team, clinical team, assertive outreach workers and aftercare team, in order to produce a bespoke individual service user support plan with the aim of facilitating sustained recovery at the earliest opportunity.
- Work alongside ‘Think Family’ Co-ordinator where appropriate to engage women service users within relevant parenting programmes to reduce likelihood of intergenerational cycle of trauma.
- Coordinate, contribute & participate towards multi-disciplinary meetings by providing high quality written & verbal reports.
- Contribute to the monitoring and ongoing evaluation of the service offered to non opiate using service users and actively involve, engage, and consult with service users and Peer Mentors regarding ongoing service development.
About You:
- A desire to work with individuals with a history using non- opiate substances and an excellent understanding of the harms caused by illicit substance misuse and dependency, with an emphasis on harms caused by non-opiate substances.
- An in depth understanding of potential barriers to engagement and change and experience of working creatively with service users who may benefit from an individualised approach to engagement.
- A creative and innovative approach to motivating individuals in recognising the benefits of accessing structured treatment, including group work, digital recovery tools, mutual aid and supporting them to do so.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in effective risk management planning, and working with individuals with multiple disadvantages, including managing risk of overdose, self-harm and suicidal ideation
- Experience of providing harm reduction advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact of drug use on individuals, their families / carer’s and communities and which improves physical and psychological health and well-being.
- An extensive knowledge of and experience of delivering motivational interviewing, CBT, BSF and task orientated tools and techniques in eliciting sustained behaviour change
- A qualification of NVQ level 3 or above in Substance Misuse or equivalent or a willingness to work towards such.
- A working knowledge of contributing towards service targets and key performance indicators. Being accountable for the collation and monitoring of data to manage individual performance.
