Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator for HMP Erlestoke in a full‑time permanent role. You will support service users from entry through their recovery journey, conducting screening, assessment and onward referral.

You will deliver group content, tailor workshops and promote involvement with a wide range of professionals. DBS check is required and applicants must have UK right to work.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of substance misuse and experience in a similar field.
  • Experience working with groups or pods and managing group dynamics (conflict or challenging behaviour).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with good IT skills.
  • Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management and prioritising skills.
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions and best practice.
  • Supportive team player with ability to work in partnership with professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Understanding of information governance processes and safeguarding requirements.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to the learning and development of others.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
  • Providing screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
  • Supporting social reintegration, enabling service users to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self‑determination
  • Researching, designing and preparing subject matter and materials for groups or pods
  • Delivering structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
  • Engaging in debriefing and evaluations with co‑facilitators after groups or pods have taken place, reviewing progress and identifying concerns with service users
  • Tailoring specific workshops around the needs of service users, such as anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.

  • Willingness to seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden professional knowledge and skills and to contribute to the learning and development of others

Additional Information
  • Salary range (pro rata if part time): CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 – £32,802.41)
  • Outside London Weighting Area (ILW / OLW / Fringe): N/A
  • Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
