A forward-thinking organization is seeking compassionate recovery coach volunteers to inspire and support individuals on their recovery journey. In this fulfilling role, you will leverage your personal recovery experiences to guide others, helping them build confidence and access vital community resources. You will work closely with recovery coordinators and service users, providing one-on-one support and encouraging participation in recovery activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others while developing your own skills and experiences in a supportive environment.
As a recovery coach volunteer based at Substance to Solution in Kettering, you will be using your own experiences of recovery to help others and demonstrate change is possible.
You will be working alongside the recovery coordinators to promote recovery and support service users on a one-to-one basis, guiding them to achieve their goals and build recovery capital. This can include supporting them to attend a group or appointments, helping them to complete application forms and access external support from services such as housing, mutual aid, and community projects. You will also be making telephone calls to service users providing them with a listening ear, guidance, and support. You will be a positive role model to the service users motivating, encouraging, and inspiring them to reach their potential.
You will be provided with all the skills, training and support you will need to undertake the role.
