Job summary

Forward Trust is offering a RECONNECT Trainee role at HMP Chelmsford as part of a Level 2 apprenticeship. You will join the RECONNECT Service, supporting individuals preparing for release and providing a personalised, person-centred approach within the resettlement journey.

You will gain valuable experience, developing admin and case management skills while learning safeguarding, risk management and the RECONNECT model under supervision.

Qualifications

• Caring, motivated and keen to learn with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults.
• Willingness to develop new skills through practical work and training.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships within a team.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals and provide updates to referrers after assessment.
• Learn to complete comprehensive needs assessments for suitable referrals.
• Maintain regular contact with service users for up to six months after release.
