Job summary

Randox Health London is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our clinic cluster on a 4 on 4 off rota, with 12-hour day shifts. The role involves blood and urine collection, data entry into our Patient Information Systems, and front-of-house duties.

You must be Hepatitis B vaccinated or eligible, have the right to work in the UK for at least 12 months, and be prepared for enhanced DBS checks. Randox provides training and part- or full-time hours where required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct client appointments including blood/urine collection and data entry into PIS.
  • Meet, greet clients with a welcoming front-of-house experience.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email with accurate information.
  • Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure informed consent.
  • Maintain accurate records in PIS and upload documentation.
  • Engage in upselling and cross-selling at the private health clinic.
  • Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
  • Complete forms, specimen labelling and order forms accurately.
  • Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage multiple software systems.

Job description

London Clinic Cluster- 12 hour days, 4 on 4 off, 7 days per week. 4 on / 4 off may include shift times of 6.40am to 6.40pm and 7.20am to 7.20pm. Part-time shifts may be considered. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS Check Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.

What does the Phlebotomist role involve?
  • Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
  • Meet, greet, and check in clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience.
  • Respond to client enquiries via telephone and email, providing accurate information and excellent customer service.

  • Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
