Job description

Our public sector client based in Hamworthy, Poole, is looking for a Receptionist for their Medical Practice. This is a temporary three-month assignment with a possibility of extension. This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week working 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, then 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday. The role pays £13.64 per hour.

This position is customer-facing, primarily manning the reception desk. Responsibilities include checking in patients, updating medical notes on SharePoint, handling administrative tasks such as scanning documents, answering phones, making appointments, managing shared inboxes, responding to correspondence, and processing appointment letters.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed to service delivery, with at least 12 months of reception and administrative experience. They should be willing to learn new systems and skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, detail-oriented, articulate, and a good team player.

This role requires a clear DBS check and three years of referencing.
