Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Receptionist/Administrator to join the M3 Junction 9 Improvement Scheme team based in the Wiltshire area. The role covers general receptionist duties, office facility management, travel arrangements for the site team, minutes and administrative support for the Senior Leadership Team, and expense reviews.

The successful candidate will work as part of the site team with strong MS Office and data-handling skills.

About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator to join our team on the M3 Junction 9 Improvement Scheme, this role will be based within the Wiltshire area


Balfour Beatty Highways maintain, manage, and operate major highway networks across the UK and support local authorities creating communities where people want to live work and play.


We provide high quality asset strategy, management, and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers. We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable, and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


What you'll be doing


  • General receptionist duties

  • Office facility management

  • Processing purchasing card spend and keeping MiVision up to date

  • Administration for Senior Leadership Team

  • Travel booking for site team on ATPi

  • Meeting room bookings

  • Manage staff contact list

  • Take minutes in meetings

  • Data gathering for sustainability

  • Review of site staff expenses

  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values

  • Ensure a focus on Zero Harm


Who we're looking for


  • The individual will require good communication skills, with an ability to command respect at all levels of the organisation

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • The individual will be required to be able to work as part of the Site team and be self motivated

  • Travel between site offices may be required;

  • Good attention to detail, a disciplined and organised approach to work and the ability to handle and work with complex data is required, along with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

  • Understand and implement appropriate controls to processes, procedure and reports
