Job summary

THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay in Padstow, Cornwall, is hiring a Receptionist to join our front of house team. You will be the first and last face guests see, ensuring a warm, professional welcome and smooth communications across departments.

We value guest experience, attention to detail, and a proactive approach. Training is provided; Opera Fidelio knowledge is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
• Knowledge of Opera Fidelio is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and respond to emails.
• Maintain clear communication with all hotel departments.
• Be the first point of contact for guests at reception.
• Help ensure high standards of service and attention to detail.

Job description

Salary: £12.71 per hour (OTE £13.91 per hour including tronc)

Hours: 35 hours per week, over 5 days.

We are currently looking for a customer focused Receptionist to join our front of house team.

The front desk at THE PIG is essentially the hub of the hotel, being the first and last face our restaurant and hotel guests see. First impressions are everything and we want our guests to have the best first impression possible.

As Receptionist you will be a first point of contact for our hotel guests. We are looking for someone who loves to make guests smile every day and has high standards of service and great attention to detail.

Communication is key, as you will be required to answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and maintain constant channels of communication with all departments in the hotel.

Experience within a similar role and knowledge of Opera Fidelio is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
