Job summary

Sodexo at Newbold Revel in Rugby is seeking a Receptionist to be the friendly first point of contact for clients, visitors and colleagues arriving on site. The role combines front-of-house duties with a range of admin tasks to keep the centre running smoothly.

You'll manage sign-in, room bookings, calls and emails, and maintain accurate records using Word, Excel and Outlook. The position offers a supportive team environment at a busy training centre that hosts courses for staff in the Prison

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house or similar customer-facing role.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Confidence using IT systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, calm and professional approach when dealing with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, contractors and colleagues to site, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out processes, passes and associated records.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain the site booking system, including meeting room bookings and attendee information.
• Complete a range of general administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other internal systems as part of your day-to-day role.
• Receive deliveries and ensure they are passed to the appropriate person or team.
• Assist contractors and respond to general queries.
• Support site safety and security procedures, including maintaining visitor information and assisting with head counts when required.
• Work closely with colleagues across the site to ensure a smooth and professional reception service.

Job Introduction:

As a Receptionist with Sodexo at Newbold Revel, Rugby, CV23 0TH, you'll be the friendly and professional first point of contact for clients, visitors, contractors and colleagues arriving at the site.

Newbold Revel is a busy residential training centre, welcoming colleagues attending courses from across the Prison Service. Similar to a hotel or conference centre, the site provides training, accommodation and other facilities for those staying and learning on site.

You'll help ensure the reception service runs smoothly by combining front-of-house responsibilities with a range of administrative duties. From welcoming visitors and managing room bookings, arrivals, departures and accommodation check-ins to answering calls, responding to emails and maintaining accurate records, you'll provide an organised and professional service throughout each day.

If you have previous administration, reception or customer service experience, strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive team in a busy and varied environment.
