Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a receptionist to welcome patients and visitors at our hospital sites. The successful candidate will provide high-standard clerical/reception services, process documentation and patient information, and support log/ retrieval of data in IT systems while adhering to Trust guidelines.

The role offers a pro rata Band 2 salary (£25,272 with enhancements for unsocial hours), with annual leave starting at 27 days plus holidays, and a contributory

  • Experience with clerical/reception duties preferred.
  • Ability to enter information into IT systems and log/retrieve data.
  • First point of contact for patients and visitors to the hospital.

  • Meet and greet as the first port of call for patients and visitors.
  • Take telephone queries and direct to the appropriate department.
  • Provide directions based on available information.
  • Utilise patient information databases to support patients and visitors.
  • Assist with issues that may cause anxiety by providing information or directing to the appropriate department/person.
  • Undertake administrative and clerical duties as requested.
  • Produce ID Badges for staff and issue Access Cards.
