Job summary

Glencoe House Hotel in Scotland is seeking a friendly, professional Receptionist to set the tone for guest experiences. You will warmly welcome guests, handle enquiries, and ensure smooth front-desk operations with a high standard of service.

Experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided. A welcoming persona, strong organisational skills and comfort with booking systems are key to success in this role.

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.

• Comfortable using hotel booking/reservation systems (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone, and by email, with courtesy and efficiency.
• Manage reservations, payments and billing with accuracy.
• Liaise with housekeeping, food & beverage and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain reception areas to the highest standards.
• Assist with guest requests, local knowledge, and personalised service.
• Support our Duty Manager and House Manager in daily duties as required.

Do you love making guests feel welcome from the very first hello? At the Glencoe House Hotel our Reception team sets the tone for the entire guest experience. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and guest-focused permanent Receptionist to join our team.

As the first point of contact, you’ll be responsible for delivering warm Scottish hospitality, handling guest enquiries, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk.

Salary & Benefits

• An hourly rate of £13.45 Plus.
• £1.00 housing allowance for those NOT requiring accommodation.
