Job summary

Wigmore Medical Centre in Medway Kent is hiring a Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice serving Wigmore, Rainham and Hempstead communities.

You will be confident, calm, quick-thinking and adaptable, handling referrals, booking appointments, responding to patient queries, and liaising with primary and secondary care teams. Afternoon rota from 14:00 to 20:00, across Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical receptionist is desirable.
• Ability to multitask in a busy GP practice.
• Strong communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients arriving at the practice.
• Book and manage appointments and referrals.
• Process referrals and liaise with primary and secondary care teams.
• Handle patient queries and route to appropriate colleagues.

Wigmore Medical Centre is a busy GP Practice serving the Wigmore, Rainham and Hempstead Communities in Medway Kent.

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team.

You will need to be confident, calm, quick thinking and adaptable in this ever changing environment. The role includes but is not limited to; making referrals, booking appointments, dealing with patient queries, processing prescriptions and liaising with 3rd party teams in primary and secondary care.

These are afternoon shifts on a rota basis. Sessions are a minimum of 4 hours per day Mon-Fri (20 hours per week). You will need to be available for work 14:00 - 20:00 to apply for this position.
