Role Description

As a Receptionist, you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer. Your responsibilities include welcoming patients, understanding their needs, and ensuring they have a great experience. You will work closely with the team, demonstrating efficiency, accuracy, and excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone. Handling patient queries regarding treatments, pricing, and follow-ups is also part of your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
  • Managing diaries and scheduling appointments accurately
  • Understanding NHS and private treatment options and explaining them to patients
  • Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within specified timescales
  • Taking payments and following up on outstanding debts
  • Liaising with dental laboratories, suppliers, and other organizations
Key Skills and Experience
  • Ability to build rapport and deliver high-quality customer service
  • Willingness to learn about dental treatment options and become an expert
  • Proactive in seizing opportunities to support practice success
  • Organized, able to follow processes and work in a structured manner
  • Comfortable working towards KPIs (call answer rate, data capture, rebooking)
  • IT skills, with ability to learn SOE software
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and composure
