Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Reception Year Teacher for full-time, long-term roles starting ASAP in Islington and nearby boroughs. You will deliver engaging EYFS lessons, support early development, and collaborate with staff to ensure pupil progress. A QTS and EYFS experience are essential, with safeguarding and inclusive practice at the core.

Qualifications

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Reception Year Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different EYFS settings in Islington and nearby boroughs. Roles are available for immediate start and offer long-term potential in supportive school environments.

Duties as Reception Year Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s early development in literacy, numeracy, and social skills
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure pupil progress
• Maintain accurate records of pupil development and liaise with parents/carers
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Early Years or Reception classes
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to pupil development
• Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
