Job summary

St Ann’s Medical Centre in Rotherham seeks a full-time Reception Team Lead to oversee three site reception services. You will line-manage staff, coordinate rotas, and deliver inductions while maintaining excellent patient-focused service within NHS guidelines.

Applicants should have GP reception experience, be proficient with SystmOne and Microsoft Office, and support continuous improvement and staff wellbeing in a busy practice environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy reception, administration or customer service environment.
• Experience supporting or supervising staff.
• Confident using computer systems, email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in general practice or an NHS healthcare setting.
• Experience line managing a team and coordinating staff rotas.
• Experience using SystmOne, AccuRx or other NHS primary care clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the practice reception services, ensuring the delivery of a professional, patient-focused service across three sites.
• Line manage and support reception staff, coordinate rotas and cover arrangements, deliver inductions and training.
• Act as a key communication link between the management team and reception staff, guiding best practice.
• Ensure confidentiality, data protection and Health & Safety standards are maintained in the reception area.
• Manage deliveries and ensure adherence to cold chain procedures where applicable.
