Job summary

Braintcroft E-ACT Primary Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with the Reception class, supporting play-based learning and early development. The role involves recording progress and building strong relations with children and their families within a nurturing setting.

Applicants should have Level 3 TA qualifications (or equivalent) and GCSEs in maths and English. The post offers 35 hours per week over 39 weeks, with an option for 37 hours over 52 weeks.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• GCSE maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Support the Reception teacher in delivering learning activities that promote children's development and early learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils' families.
• Assist with observing, assessing and recording children's progress and achievements.
• Support personal, social, emotional and physical development through play-based learning.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom that meets the needs of all learners.
