Job summary

E-ACT Braintcroft Academy in London is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant for the Reception Class to support learning and development from the start of school life. You will work closely with the Reception Teacher, support play-based learning, observe progress, and help nurture confident, curious learners.

The role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, GCSEs in Maths and English, and a strong commitment to EYFS principles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in Early Years/Reception.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Understanding of child development and EYFS.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• GCSE Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Support the Reception Teacher in delivering engaging learning activities that promote children's development and early learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
• Assist with the observation, assessment, and recording of children's progress and achievements.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning opportunities.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that reflects the needs of all learners.
