Job summary

Glenleigh Park Primary Academy is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support the Reception class on a fixed-term basis. You will work with the class teacher to foster an engaging and caring learning environment and help children develop confidence and independence.

The role focuses on promoting wellbeing, supporting early learning through play, and contributing to high standards of achievement for all pupils.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential.
• NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants, in Childcare or in Playwork, or equivalent desirable.
• Ability to demonstrate active listening skills essential.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality records essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development in the Early Years and Reception.
• Promote wellbeing and help children build confidence and independence.
