Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Reception Teacher in the L5 area of Liverpool to join the Early Years team. ECTs are welcome and you will be supported by an experienced EYFS team within a nurturing environment.

Role Overview

Milk Education is delighted to be working with a warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in the L5 area of Liverpool, who are seeking a Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team.

This role is ECT-friendly and ideal for teachers at the start of their career or those looking to build confidence within a nurturing and well-structured EYFS environment. You will be supported by an experienced Early Years team, strong leadership, and clear routines that allow you to focus on high-quality teaching and learning.

The role will be a temporary 9 month role to cover maternity.

You will play a key role in supporting pupils at the very beginning of their educational journey, helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Classroom & School Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing Reception classroom environment
  • Support children’s development across communication and language, literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
  • Observe, assess, and record pupil progress using EYFS assessment methods
  • Differentiate provision to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership
