Job summary

Aspire People Limited is working with a Sutton Coldfield school in the Birmingham area to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant for a Reception pupil on a 1:1 basis. The role requires EYFS knowledge and experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally with Level 3 TA qualifications.

This is a September start through July 2027 in a supportive staff environment. Applicants should have recent primary school experience and be comfortable working 1:1 with a child who is working at a lower level

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with suspected ASD
• Assist to deliver EYFS/KS1 activities and routines
• Support pupil engagement and learning targets during lessons and activities
