Job summary

Aspiring Teaching Assistant role based in Sutton Coldfield, supporting a Reception child on a 1:1 basis. The child is working to a lower level with suspected ASD, so the candidate should bring strong EYFS knowledge and prior SEND experience.

Experience in EYFS/KS1 and recent primary teaching assistant roles is required, with a Level 3 TA qualification or NVQ/CACHE preferred. Placement is a fixed-term contract from September to July 2027, with screening all applicants.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one to one basis.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Job description

An outstanding school located within Sutton Coldfield is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, to support a child in Reception on a 1:1 basis. This child is working to a lower level, and has suspected ASD. As the child is within Reception, the school require somebody with strong EYFs knowledge, and previous experience supporting children with SEND.

This is a lovely school, with extremely supportive staff.

This role is from September - July 2027.

To be successful in this role you will require:
