TeacherActive is looking for a caring, imaginative Early Years / F1 Primary Teacher to support a welcoming primary school in Shirebrook.
From sharing a favourite story to helping children make their first friendships, you’ll play a part in making school somewhere they feel happy, secure and excited to explore. With a library, spacious surroundings and outdoor learning provision, there are plenty of opportunities to follow children’s interests and bring learning to life through play.
This is a school with a strong community spirit. Charity collections encourage children to give back, while its values of being ready, respectful and safe help pupils develop kindness, independence and responsibility from the very beginning.
The work will be on a regular supply basis, with consistency important for the children. For the right Early Years / F1 Teacher, this could develop into a long-term placement, giving you time to build trusted relationships and see those small steps become significant milestones.
You’ll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience within Early Years, alongside a sound understanding of the EYFS framework. Warm, nurturing and enthusiastic, you’ll know when to offer encouragement, when to follow a child’s curiosity and when a familiar routine can make all the difference. You’ll bring patience, positive behaviour management and the flexibility to adapt when the day takes an unexpected turn. A collaborative approach, a commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply, are essential.
Your next role should feel right for you. We’ll take the time to understand what you enjoy about teaching, where you want to develop and what you’re looking for in a school. Then we’ll work hard to find opportunities that fit.
