Job summary

TeacherActive is looking for an Early Years / KS1 Primary Teacher to support a welcoming primary school in Ilkeston. Deliver engaging lessons and build positive relationships while adapting to pupils’ needs.

The role offers regular supply work with potential for long-term placement. A nurturing, patient approach and safeguarding commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching within Early Years and/or KS1.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and KS1 curriculum.
• Patient, encouraging approach that helps children feel secure and confident.
• Flexibility to settle into different classrooms and respond to changing needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply for one.
