Job summary

A J RECRUIT LTD is seeking a Reception Manager to lead the reception team at our hotel. The role focuses on delivering outstanding guest experiences from arrival to departure and takes ownership of the Reception department within the management team.

You'll work 37 hours per week with shifts from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, including occasional weekend work. The successful candidate will have hospitality leadership experience, strong people skills, and a hands-on approach to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a Reception or Front Office team within hospitality.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, hands on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service.
• Confidence dealing with guest enquiries and complaints.
• Good IT skills and experience using hotel or accommodation management systems.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and developing the Reception Team.
• Managing the day to day operation of Reception, including check-in, check-out, reservations and guest enquiries.
• Delivering exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, students and conference delegates.
• Maintaining high operational, quality and Health & Safety standards.
• Working Duty Manager shifts on a rota basis.
• Building strong relationships with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Conference and Sales teams.
• Responding professionally to guest feedback and resolving issues efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, GDPR and relevant legislation.
