Job summary

Lindeth Howe Hotel in Windermere is seeking a Reception Manager to lead the guest services team and oversee the reception operation. The role involves managing a small team, handling house accounts, banking, budgeting, and ensuring smooth communication with other hotel departments.

Experience in hotels and with Guestline is preferred; training can be provided. Live-in accommodation is available at a monthly charge.

Job description

We are looking for a Reception Manager/guest services manager to join our friendly team. Working 5 over 7 days, full time, early, middle or late shifts. Salary is dependent on experience. You will have a strong work history and be able to show confidence and the ability to manage a small team of receptionists.

Duties

• Day to day running of the reception department
• Ensuring there is clear communication from the reception department to the other departments in the hotel.
• House account management.
• Banking.
• Budgeting and sales targets.
• Guest recognition.
• Group and Tour liaison and management.
• Duty management shifts.
• PMS management.
• Rate plans and rate management.

You will ideally have experience with Guestline, training can be given however.

You will have a strong background, have experience in hotels and be dependable and hardworking.
