Job summary

Roche School is seeking a passionate Reception Class Teacher to join their EYFS team. The role focuses on nurturing children’s first experiences of school, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning in a spacious indoor/outdoor environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with families, SENDCo and early years professionals to support each child's unique starting points and ensure a smooth transition into Year 1, with a view to permanency for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience and training within EYFS
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS clearance requirements
• Ability to collaborate with parents and carers to support children's learning and wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with local nurseries, pre-schools and families to support smooth transitions into school
• Collaborate with Key Stage 1 colleagues to ensure continuity from Reception to Year 1
• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences across indoors and outdoors in EYFS
• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, independence and a love of learning
