Inspired Education Group is seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher for Wetherby School in Notting Hill, London, starting January 2027. This maternity cover role will involve planning, preparing and delivering a differentiated EYFS curriculum for boys aged 4 to 8, in a non-selective independent setting.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Wetherby School is a thriving and highly successful non-selective, independent school in Notting Hill for boys aged 4 to 8. The school is heavily oversubscribed and extremely successful in securing pupils’ entry into the preparatory school of their choice.

Wetherby School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Class Teacher to join the team from January 2027. This is a maternity cover role until December 2027. In this role, you will plan, prepare, and deliver an engaging and well-structured curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. You will create stimulating and supportive learning experiences, ensuring lessons are diverse, relevant, and appropriately differentiated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, prepare and implement the agreed school curriculum to cater for the needs of all children within the assigned class and any other class taught.
  • Provide well planned, engaging learning experiences and support for all learners and to deliver a diverse, relevant and differentiated (where appropriate) curriculum for all children in the class.
  • Observe and evaluate the progress of each child through implementing the agreed structures within the school and according to EYFS
  • Provide a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere that is conducive to the social and emotional needs of the children within the class.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies at all times and to encourage positive practise in relation to general behaviour
  • Create an engaging, stimulating and relevant learning environment through displays and classroom organisation.
  • Maintain cordial and informative relationships with parents.
  • Work as part of a team with the teachers and assistants within the assigned year group and the rest of the school staff.
