Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in London is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer for FX Options Risk. You will design, develop, and optimize a high-throughput, real-time risk system, delivering low-latency, scalable solutions in collaboration with the FX trading desk.

The role requires deep Core Java expertise, experience with Kafka/Storm and NoSQL, and hands-on leadership to mentor engineers while advancing the architecture on a modern risk platform.

Qualifications

• Extensive development experience in enterprise Java within low-latency, distributed systems.
• Strong FX trading knowledge and understanding of options pricing preferable.
• Proven IC delivering high-throughput real-time systems in production.
• Deep hands-on Core Java, including memory management and concurrency utilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize FX real-time risk infrastructure for low latency and high availability.
• Champion code quality and modern development practices; drive technical deliverables.
• Provide architectural input as the risk platform modernization proceeds.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
