Job summary

Elekta in Crawley is seeking a software engineer to join our R&D team and help develop the software powering next-generation radiotherapy systems. You will work on CT-LINAC and MR-LINAC platforms, designing, implementing and testing real-time embedded software.

From requirements through delivery, you’ll collaborate with mechanical and systems engineers, ensuring safety, performance and regulatory compliance while advancing patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in real-time or embedded software development.
• Degree in Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• Experience in regulated environments or medical devices advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time control software for radiotherapy systems.
• Design robust software meeting performance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the lifecycle.
• Produce tests and contribute to continuous improvement.
