About Our Client
Our client is a well-established, Top 100 Pan European Private Equity Fund with offices in London and across key locations in Europe. Specialising in opportunistic acquisitions in Real Estate, Infrastructure, and other heavily asset-backed sectors, they have an extensive track record and a diverse, growing portfolio.
Job Description
- Oversee day-to-day management of complex assets across the fund including trading entities / operational real estate businesses and restructuring processes.
- Ensure a good understanding of all of the company's policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines, installing the principles in your daily practice to protect the company from any associated risks.
- Support the review of and reporting on performance of businesses.
- Review and compare budgets to financial reports. Identify discrepancies in budgets, reports, and ongoing projects, recommend appropriate remedies, and challenge borrowers and third parties where necessary.
- Support the wider Asset Management team on due diligence performance, legal documentation (amendments / re-statements / refinancing), and overall loan administration.
- Interface and help manage relationships with borrowers.
- Prepare recommendations for asset protection and enhancement strategies.
- Monitor cash and loan reconciliation reports and support the Asset Management team with resolution and escalation.
- Monitor and enforce conditions and covenants.
- Support weekly and monthly internal reporting and control processes.
- Analyze monthly reports from borrowers, contributing to central reporting for the fund and supporting quarterly investor communications.
- Liaise with third parties: lawyers, valuers, agents, and advisors.
- Assist in producing reports and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
- Understand and support the enforcement of security.
- Visit borrowers and assets across the UK & Ireland, and other Western European jurisdictions if required.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal VP Real Estate Asset Manager should have:
- A degree in Real Estate, Built Environment, Real Estate Finance, Economics, or similar from a notable university.
- Significant experience as a Private Equity Asset Manager at Associate/Senior Associate level or above.
- A proven track record managing complex assets, trading entities, and restructuring.
- Solid investment knowledge and understanding of Real Estate sectors (Living, Alternatives, Commercial RE, RE companies), Infrastructure, and asset-backed businesses.
- A detail-driven, results-oriented mindset, persistent, highly organized, capable of managing multiple work streams.
- Strong initiative with sound judgment and confidence in decisions.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, taking ownership of issues and coordinating efforts for resolution.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business planning, negotiation, and analysis skills, understanding investment models and drivers of returns.
- Proficiency in Excel and report writing skills.
