Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting for a Real Estate Solicitor to join a leading UK Top 100 law firm in Exeter. The role focuses on Residential Development, strategic land and development-led property work for national and regional clients, with a flexible hybrid working model.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate, strong drafting skills and a commercial mindset, contributing to business development and client relationships within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate.
• Strong experience in residential development, strategic land or development-led property transactions.
• Experience advising developers, landowners, housebuilders or registered providers would be advantageous.
• Strong technical, drafting and negotiation skills.
• A genuine interest in business development and client relationship management.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
• Ambition to develop your profile and contribute to the growth of a leading practice.

Consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers, you can expect to join a highly regarded Residential Development team advising a broad client base including national and regional housebuilders, residential developers, landowners and affordable housing providers.

Your work will include:

• Residential development acquisitions and disposals
• Strategic land transactions, including promotion agreements and option agreements
• Affordable housing acquisitions and disposals
• Conditional contracts and development agreements
• Overage arrangements and easements
• Title due diligence and site set‑up work
• Supporting clients through the full development lifecycle
