Our client, a well-established national law firm, is seeking an ambitious Property Litigation Solicitor to join their growing team in Manchester.

About the Role

This is a genuinely varied property litigation position offering exposure to high-quality, complex work. You'll be working closely with the national head of the department on matters that go far beyond routine lease renewals and break notices.

The caseload includes:

  • Boundary disputes and title issues
  • Wayleaves and telecommunications matters
  • Rights to light
  • Building Safety Act compliance for developer clients
  • Forfeiture and vacant possession matters supporting the restructuring team
  • Landlord and tenant disputes under the 1954 Act
  • Acting for housebuilders on contentious property matters

The team has recently secured a significant national client with a portfolio of 300+ properties, many with unique and complex issues, presenting excellent development opportunities.

What They’re Looking For
  • 1-5 years PQE in property litigation (ideally)
  • A proactive approach - someone who can take matters as far as possible independently before seeking senior input
  • Genuine enthusiasm for property litigation and intellectual curiosity for complex problems
  • Drive and ambition to develop expertise across diverse property matters
  • The ability to think beyond process-driven work
What’s On Offer
  • Direct access to national practice head and hands‑on mentoring
  • Exposure to sophisticated, high‑value work from day one
  • Variety – no two days are the same
  • Work on cutting‑edge issues including Building Safety Act matters
  • Opportunity to build expertise across the full spectrum of property litigation

This role would particularly suit someone currently handling volume work who is seeking greater complexity and responsibility, or a solicitor in a property litigation practice looking for more diverse and challenging matters.
