Job summary

BCL Legal is partnering with a leading UK firm to recruit an experienced Real Estate Dispute Resolution Senior Associate in Manchester. The role suits a solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in property litigation or real estate disputes, offering exposure to high-quality, contentious matters and ADR work.

You will manage own matters, develop client relationships and collaborate with senior lawyers on sophisticated litigation while contributing to the growth of the team and firm’s profile.

Qualifications

• Qualified as solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE in property litigation or real estate disputes.
• Strong technical knowledge of real estate law and dispute resolution.
• Experience of County Court and First-tier Tribunal proceedings.
• Interest in developing career in real estate dispute resolution and property litigation.
• Collaborative approach with colleagues and willingness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on landlord and tenant disputes, including renewals, dilapidations and forfeiture.
• Managing contentious property development matters, rights of light, restrictive covenants and boundary disputes.
• Handling possession claims and trespass actions.
• Supporting property insolvency and enforcement matters.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and instructions to counsel.
• Representing clients at court hearings, mediations and client meetings.
• Managing own caseload with supervision as needed.
• Supporting senior colleagues on complex property litigation and ADR matters.
• Contributing to training and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Taking an active role in marketing and business development initiatives.

A leading UK legal and professional services firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Dispute Resolution Senior Associate to join its specialist property litigation team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE and a background in property litigation or real estate dispute resolution to take on a varied and commercially focused caseload, while working alongside highly experienced practitioners on complex contentious property matters.

The Opportunity

You will join an established Real Estate Dispute Resolution team advising a diverse client base that includes developers, investors, landlords, tenants and public sector organisations.

The team is recognised for its commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to property disputes. You will have the opportunity to manage your own matters, develop strong client relationships and work closely with senior lawyers on sophisticated litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) work.

Ideal qualifications

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.

• Strong technical knowledge of real estate law and dispute resolution.
• Experience of County Court and First-tier Tribunal proceedings.
• A genuine interest in developing your career within real estate dispute resolution.
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
