Job summary

Clayton Legal in Manchester is seeking a Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join its growing team. The role involves advising lenders, borrowers, investors and developers on commercial and residential property finance transactions.

You will handle matters from instruction to completion, draft and negotiate security documents, undertake title due diligence and build strong client relationships, with flexible hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (approx. 5 years' PQE).
• Experience in real estate finance or secured lending, or a strong commercial property background with an interest in moving into finance work.
• Strong technical, drafting and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to manage your own caseload.

Responsibilities

I'm currently working with a growing law firm in Manchester that is looking to recruit a Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join its expanding team.

This is a great opportunity for a solicitor with experience in real estate finance, secured lending or a strong commercial property background who is looking to develop their expertise in a supportive environment, working on high-quality transactions with a varied client base.

The Role

You'll be advising lenders, borrowers, investors and developers on a range of commercial and residential property finance transactions, managing matters from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on secured lending transactions involving commercial and residential property.
• Acting for banks, alternative lenders, borrowers, investors and developers.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating security documents.
• Undertaking title due diligence and reporting on title.
• Managing transactions, conditions precedent and completion requirements.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development.

What They're Looking For

• A qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, ideally with around 5 years' PQE.
• Experience in real estate finance or secured lending, or a strong commercial property background with an interest in moving into finance work.
• Strong technical, drafting and communication skills.
• A commercially minded approach and the ability to manage your own caseload.
