Overview:

At Berkeley Insurance Group (part of Brown & Brown Europe), we are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join our professional and welcoming Real Estate and Construction team based in Leicester or Birmingham.

Berkeley Insurance offers extensive expertise across various trade sectors, providing independent advice, specialist knowledge, market power, and excellent customer service to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

The role involves servicing existing Real Estate and Construction client accounts, including renewals, quotations, premium negotiations, documentation, and client reporting. Candidates should have experience as an Account Handler in commercial insurance, with strong customer service, negotiation skills, and market awareness.

This position offers a long-term opportunity for an experienced Account Handler seeking growth or sector specialization.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Account Executives and Directors to deliver exceptional service.
• Secure appropriate coverage at renewal, complete documentation, and coordinate with relevant team members.
• Manage instructions from clients and Account Executives regarding insurance coverage.
• Communicate with insurers and process mid-term adjustments.
• Maintain rating spreadsheets, calculate premiums, and understand market conditions.
• Handle invoicing, verify documentation accuracy, and obtain quotations.
• Follow company procedures, FCA requirements, and monitor market trends.
• Visit clients as needed, analyze results, and address client issues appropriately.
• Adhere to FCA rules, company policies, health and safety standards, and confidentiality protocols.
• Engage in continuous professional development and support colleagues' growth.
• Perform other duties as required and comply with complaints procedures.
