Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join The Leam in Friday Bridge. The role focuses on leading a dynamic team in a welcoming supported living environment, helping people gain independence and supporting with day-to-day management.

Typical shifts include Mon–Sun 7.30am–2.30pm and 2.30pm–9.30pm plus sleep-in; a UK Manual DL is required. DBS checks and references will be completed for all applicants.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience as a Senior Support Worker is preferred.
• Experience working with LD and Autism is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and management of The Leam supported living service.
• Allocate shifts and book training for staff.
• Induct new colleagues and support with supervisions.
• Order medication and ensure residents manage their finances.
• Support residents to gain more independence and work with the service Manager to ensure quality of care.

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our supported living service The Leam in Friday Bridge. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervisions', ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We're interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working in LD and Autism.
