Job summary

EQ Care is seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager for Cedar Lodge in Whitchurch-on-Thames to lead the clinical team and support the home manager in daily operations, rotas, training and attendance records.

You will liaise with GPs, social services and multi-disciplinary teams, undertake clinical assessments and drive quality care in a 45-bed nursing and dementia specialist home. NMC pin and IT proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in a similar care environment is preferred.
• Valid NMC Pin with no restrictions is required.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance to the home manager that the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
• Support production of action plans against audit findings and ensure timely completion.
• Represent Cedar Lodge with a professional presence for residents, families and staff.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Undertake regular supervisions and annual appraisals of staff ensuring development opportunities.

Role Overview

As the Clinical Deputy Manager at Cedar Lodge, you will be a key member of the management team and play an integral part of the

home. You will support the home manager, completing team member rotas, annual leave, training allocation and attendance records.

You will lead the clinical team, liaise with local authorities, social services and undertake clinical assessments. You will

also complete the daily leadership report and attend operational review meetings. You will establish good relationships with

people who live in the home, their families, friends, and team members, We ask that you support and advise the team members

within the home during working hours as well as during out of hours via on call arrangements. You will also take responsibility

for Acer Lodge during periods of absence of the Home Manager.
