Job summary

The National Autistic Society is hiring a Senior Support Worker for Pinecroft in Bristol to support autistic adults in a residential setting. You will follow individual support plans and daily routines to help clients lead better lives.

Your role includes assisting with life skills, attending to daily needs, and recording detailed digital notes. Evening, weekend, and sleep-in shifts are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with autistic adults is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to follow individual support plans and daily routines.
• Empathy and a positive, can-do attitude toward helping others.

About the Service

Pinecroft is our specialised residential home where we support autistic adults who has a variety of mental health needs. We support them to develop skills to promote their health and wellbeing, inclusion in the local community and greater independence. We are looking for staff with a “can do” approach who can offer active support to facilitate and enable the people we support to progress and move on.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do

• Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, room cleaning, train and bus journeys)
• Record detailed and accurate digital support notes

What We’re Looking For

• For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working as well as sleep-in shifts.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year)isessential
