Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as required.
  • Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records on the MAR.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.
  • Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals and supervisors.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with behavioural challenges.
  • Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
