Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily pharmacy operations and help customers at the counter. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support.

Typical duties include assisting with prescriptions under supervision, stock handling, and maintaining records, while upholding safety and confidentiality. No prior pharmacy experience required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Working Week

Monday-Thursday 9.00am to 6.00pm with a 60minute unpaid lunch

Qualifications Required

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
